The State Department introduced that the Trump administration is increasing humanitarian help to Cuba by $6 million, improving a preliminary $3 million program delivered through the Catholic Church and Caritas.

Humanitarian Crisis Drivers in Cuba
A brand-new round of help is being sent to the Caribbean island, renowned for its dynamic culture, in reaction to a humanitarian dilemma aggravated by Typhoon Melissa, among the best Atlantic storms on document, which struck Cuba in October.
The January U.S. intrusion of Venezuela and capture of President Nicolás Maduro has stopped Cuban oil shipments. “Cuba is in huge difficulty,” Head of state Trump told NBC Nightly Information.
According to a speech released by the Office of the Cuban President on Thursday, Díaz-Canel stated, “Cuba is willing to take part in discussion with the USA, discussion on any issue that needs to be talked about or disputed. Under what problems? Without stress. Discussion can not occur under pressure. Problems have to always be based upon equal rights, on regard for our sovereignty, our freedom, our self-reliance, without dealing with concerns that are our responsibility and that we might understand as disturbance in our affairs.”
